gutWise™ Nutrient Delivery Technology
A proprietary blend of prebiotics, probiotics, marine-derived calcium and NutriVantage® for horses helps maintain total digestive health. These components come in a proprietary extruded form to help promote digestibility and nutrient availability.
Probiotics and prebiotics help maintain digestive health and microbial fermentation for sustained digestibility, absorption and assimilation of nutrients.
Bioavailable marine-derived calcium helps support gastric pH and health.
NutriVantage® for Horses incorporates proprietary components that may contribute to nutrient availability and maintenance of a healthy intestinal environment for immune support.
A diet low in starch and sugar is often recommended by veterinarians and nutritionists for horses with metabolic and digestive problems.
A sequential release of energy from fermentable fats and fiber provides fewer starch calories to meet complex energy demands and help maintain normal digestive health.
The light, airy nature of extruded foods can facilitate food breakdown while encouraging slow eating and more thorough chewing to maintain digestive health.
A nutrient-dense diet means more nutrition based on weight, potentially providing more of what your horse needs with less food for ideal health and body condition.
Fiber sources such as soy hulls, beet pulp, and alfalfa meal can help maintain healthy hindgut fermentation while providing additional calories in a safe, natural form.
Antioxidant nutrients, including stable vitamins and biologically available trace minerals, help maintain normal health and metabolism.
Amino acids such as lysine, methionine and threonine are important for the growth and maintenance of all tissues, including bones, muscles, hooves and hair.
Sources of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids as well as protein, B vitamins and trace mineral complexes can help promote healthy skin, coat and hoof.
Omega-3 fatty acids, stable vitamins and balanced minerals can help maintain joint and bone health and strength.
KENT SENTINEL PERFORMANCE LS is a pressure-cooked, high-fat, high-fiber feed with low-starch and low-sugar ingredients designed for equine athletes involved in a variety of competitive disciplines.
SENTINEL PERFORMANCE LS is also recommended for horses with high caloric needs such as guard horses and for horses with problematic digestive and/or metabolic systems - contact your Kent sales representative for specific recommendations.
Approximate food weight relative to volume: 0.85 lbs = 1 liter. It is necessary to adapt the SENTINEL PERFORMANCE LS diet to the horse's condition. Provide good quality hay or pasture, plenty of salt and plenty of fresh water.
The suggested program is based on providing grass hay or grass mix. If you are feeding legume hay or rich pastures, or if SENTINEL PERFORMANCE LS is fed below the recommended feeding range, consult your Kent Nutrition Group sales representative or customer service for a ration recommendation.
The diet plan suggested above is intended as a guide only. Management, environmental and breed variables can dictate changes in the animal's dietary needs.
