Livestock fly repellent

Fly control products for livestock are essential during the warm season in Quebec, when horn flies, stable flies, and horseflies cause stress, reduce weight gain, and decrease milk production. An uncontrolled infestation can lead to significant economic losses, as cattle spend more time defending themselves against insects than foraging.

FG Edwards offers a variety of solutions: insect repellent sprays, slow-release insecticidal ear tags, sticky strips, fly traps, and pour-on products that provide several weeks of protection. We also have dust bags and oilers that livestock can freely use in the pasture for continuous self-service treatment.

Our advisors can help you build an integrated pest management program tailored to the season and the size of your herd. Visit our West Brome and Bedford branches early in the summer to get equipped. Also, check out our livestock health section and our bovine grooming products .
