About Wooden posts

Securely anchor your fence with our treated wood posts available from FG Edwards. Wood posts are the pillars of a permanent farm fence — they serve as anchor points at corners, changes of direction, entrances, and stress points where strength is essential to maintaining the structure of the entire system.

We offer pressure-treated wood posts in diameters suited to the various functions of a fence line. A corner post must be sturdier than an intermediate post, as it bears the tension of the wires in two directions simultaneously. The recommended burial depth is approximately one-third of the post's total length for maximum stability in the clay soils typical of the region.
