About Wooden posts
Securely anchor your fence with our treated wood posts available from FG Edwards. Wood posts are the pillars of a permanent farm fence — they serve as anchor points at corners, changes of direction, entrances, and stress points where strength is essential to maintaining the structure of the entire system.
We offer pressure-treated wood posts in diameters suited to the various functions of a fence line. A corner post must be sturdier than an intermediate post, as it bears the tension of the wires in two directions simultaneously. The recommended burial depth is approximately one-third of the post's total length for maximum stability in the clay soils typical of the region.
Visit us in West Brome or Bedford to see our available sizes. Complete your installation with our insulators for wooden posts and our galvanized staples for securing your wire or fencing.
