About Fence staples

Securely attach your wires and fencing to wooden posts with our fence staples available from FG Edwards. The staple is the essential link between your conductor and your posts — a quality galvanized staple resists rust and holds the wire in place for years, even under the constant tension and vibration of an active pasture fence.

We offer galvanized staples in various lengths to suit the gauge of your wire and the type of wood your posts are made of. Longer staples are suitable for soft cedar posts, while shorter staples are sufficient for treated and hardwoods. For knotted wire and wire mesh fencing, the staples should be driven in at an angle rather than flat to allow the wire to move slightly without coming loose under the pressure of an animal.
