About Knotted thread

Knotted wire is the classic solution for perimeter fencing on farms in Quebec—its lattice of horizontal and vertical wires assembled with mechanical knots provides the impact resistance needed to contain cattle, horses, and other farm animals.

We offer knotted wire in various heights and mesh sizes, suitable for different types of animals. Knotted wire differs from wire mesh in its ability to absorb the pressure of an animal pushing against the fence without permanently deforming—the knots allow for some flexibility while maintaining the structure. The galvanized coating ensures a lifespan of several decades, even in the humid conditions of the Eastern Townships.
