About Galvanized wire
Build permanent and durable fences with our galvanized steel wire, available from FG Edwards. Galvanized wire is the basic material for traditional farm fences in Quebec—its corrosion resistance and strength make it the reliable choice for installations meant to last for decades, from guying corner posts to tension wires for pasture fences.
We offer galvanized wire in a variety of gauges, from lightweight wire for ties and repairs to high-strength 12-gauge wire recommended for perimeter fencing and tension wires. The zinc coating protects the steel from rust caused by moisture, de-icing salt, and harsh Quebec winters. Larger gauge wires are stronger but also stiffer to work with—our advisors can help you choose the right wire for your application.
Visit us in West Brome or Bedford to see our in-stock sizes. Also check out our knotted wire for pasture fencing and our fence staples for attaching your wires to wooden posts.
