Fertilizers and soil amendments

Fertilizers and soil amendments at FG Edwards are the starting point for a healthy garden. Well-nourished, well-structured soil produces tastier vegetables, a denser lawn, and more abundant flowers — and the 95 products in our department cover every step, from pH correction to in-season fertilization.

You'll find natural fertilizers made from bone meal, chicken manure, and seaweed for gradual and environmentally friendly nutrition; fast-release mineral fertilizers for periods of intense growth; agricultural lime to correct the acidic soils so common in the Eastern Townships; compost and enriched garden soil to improve structure; and specialized amendments like rock dust and sulfur for specific needs. Quebec regulations on cosmetic pesticides promote natural solutions—and our department is well-stocked with them.

Nourish your soil and achieve better results at FG Edwards in West Brome and Bedford. Also check out our vegetable and lawn seeds , gardening tools for working with soil amendments, and our lawn and garden department for a complete view of our seasonal offerings.
