Poultry Grit #2 ( 3/16″ – 3/32″ ) is an essential supplement designed to support the digestive health of poultry. It is made of medium-sized insoluble crushed rocks or gravel that helps birds, such as chickens and turkeys, grind grains and seeds in their gizzard – a specialized stomach designed for this purpose. Since birds do not have teeth, they rely heavily on gravel to help them break down food efficiently.

Benefits :

• Aids digestion: Contributes to the mechanical breakdown of hard grains and seeds, ensuring efficient absorption of nutrients.
• Natural Product: Typically made from crushed granite or other hard stones from natural sources, ensuring no chemicals or artificial additives.
• Improves Health: Helps prevent crop impaction, a common condition in poultry resulting from the ingestion of large food particles.

Instructions :

Gradually introduce medium-sized poultry grit into the birds' diet. It can be mixed with their regular food or offered in a separate container. Ensure constant access to grit, especially if the diet consists primarily of whole grains.

Note :

Always make sure the size of grit is appropriate for the age and size of the bird. Monitor gravel consumption periodically and adjust the quantity as needed. Birds eating more pelleted foods may ingest less grit than those eating a whole grain diet.
