The float (H0-P4836) controls the water level in your Canarm heated waterer by opening and closing the fill valve. Signs it needs replacement:
The H0-P4836 float pairs with the H0-P4300 fill valve — if you are replacing one, inspect the other at the same time.
The Canarm H0-P4836 float is designed to work with Canarm heated waterers that use the H0-P4300 fill valve — which has been the standard valve in Canarm waterers since 1993. If your waterer was manufactured after 1993, this float should be compatible.
The float connects to the valve via a standard arm and ball assembly. Compatibility is determined by the valve model, not the waterer model. If you have already confirmed your waterer uses the H0-P4300 valve, the H0-P4836 float will fit.
For waterers manufactured before 1993, the valve design may differ. Check the data plate on your waterer or refer to your installation manual to confirm compatibility.
