About Cabbage and brassicas
Cabbage and brassica seeds are among the most versatile in the Quebec vegetable garden. Head cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, kale, and curly kale: this family of hardy vegetables thrives in Quebec over two seasons, taking advantage of the cool spring and fall temperatures to develop their full flavor. FG Edwards offers a selection of brassica seeds carefully chosen for their adaptation to the Eastern Townships climate.
Whether you're a beginner gardener or have been growing for years, here you'll find early and late cabbage varieties, continuous-harvest broccoli seeds, early cauliflower suited to our short growing season, and kale resistant to the first autumn frosts. Some varieties are ideal for indoor sowing as early as February, while others can be transplanted directly into the garden in spring or July for an autumn harvest.
