Powered by just 4 AA batteries (included) our Advance chicken coop door opener is easy to install on any chicken coop with a vertical sliding (or swinging) door. All-in-one design makes installation easy - no complicated wiring or limit switches to attach to your chicken coop. Simply attach the control box to the front of your chicken coop with the 2 screws provided, attach the lift cord to your existing door and off you go. No manual calibration is necessary; The ChickSafe Advance automatically adjusts to the height of your chicken coop door.

Like the Eco model, the ChickSafe Advance features a new mechanism (patent pending) with a single moving part and no mechanical switches for ultimate reliability. Weather-resistant and made from UV-resistant materials, it is designed to perform in extreme conditions and can lower and raise a door weighing up to 8 lbs. Because the ChickSafe works by detecting light levels and looking for slow changes in light, they are not affected by car headlights at night. The battery level is also shown on the digital display.

For a long life, the 2 slides are made of PVC and the door is made of fully weather-resistant aluminum for excellent corrosion resistance. Strong yet lightweight, this kit is an ideal replacement for chicken coops with horizontal sliding doors or for chicken coops with heavy doors. The 2 door panels each measure 11.8 inches wide x 7.3 inches high for a maximum pophole size of 11 inches wide x 13 inches high. Both runners measure 22 inches tall.
