Do you have a residential swimming pool (in-ground or above-ground)?
Quebec's residential pool safety regulations apply to all pools no later than September 30, 2027. Our 1x1 (2.5 cm) mesh meets the 10 cm sphere rule. Compliant height: 4 ft (1.2 m) minimum.
Do you raise poultry (chickens, ducks)?
Two options depending on the risk: general enclosure structure with 2x4 mesh (more open, less expensive). For critical areas where predators attack, add 1x1 wire mesh at access points, on the ceiling, and as a buried skirt.
Do you have a dog (or will you be getting one)?
2x4-inch mesh is sufficient for most dogs. Choose the height according to the breed: 4 ft for medium dogs, 5 to 6 ft for large dogs or jumpers.
Do you want to protect a vegetable garden?
The 2x4 mesh in 3 or 4 ft blocks rabbits, groundhogs, raccoons and neighborhood cats, while allowing air and light to reach your plants.
Are you marking out a large plot of land (perimeter)?

How to choose between 2x4 and 1x1 mesh?
The 2x4 mesh (2 in x 4 in) covers a variety of uses: garden, dog run, perimeter fence, enclosure structure. The 1x1 mesh (1 in x 1 in) is tighter and designed for two specific uses: pool fencing compliant with Quebec regulation 2027, and predator protection (raccoons, weasels, stoats). Many owners combine the two in a single project.
What's the difference between this and grocery store chicken wire?
Our Sentinel mesh is 14ga (1.95mm) and welded at each intersection. The lightweight chicken wire sold in hardware stores is typically 20-22ga (thin wire) and twisted. The concrete difference: Sentinel lasts 10 to 15 years in Quebec conditions, compared to 1 to 2 years for lightweight mesh.
Do you deliver to my home? How much does delivery cost?
Free local delivery on purchases of $95 or more, within a 40 km radius of West Brome. Free in-store pickup in West Brome and Bedford, six days a week. For deliveries outside the area, contact us for an estimate.
Return policy?
30-day satisfaction guarantee. Return the unrolled roll to West Brome or Bedford within 30 days for a full refund. Unrolled or cut rolls are not returnable (logical).
Do you offer an installation service?
Not directly, but we can refer you to residential installers in the Eastern Townships. Call us: the in-store team knows the right partners for your area.
Can I order a custom length?
We sell in 50 or 100 foot rolls. For projects exceeding these dimensions, multiple rolls can be joined at the posts. For a very large project or a special order, call us: we often have additional stock in reserve or can place an order.
How long to install 100 ft?
Allow 4 to 6 hours for two people for 100 ft of fence, including post installation. The Sentinel installation kit includes all necessary equipment: T-posts, galvanized tie wire, post driver.
